10th Street Farm is a four-season vegetable farm located in Afton, MN, just outside the Twin Cities. We sell our vegetables year-round via seasonal CSAs, wholesale channels, and a year-round on-farm market.
We focus on no-till, human-scale, intensive vegetable production, utilizing moveable high tunnels, paperpot transplanters, and other tools to make the work easier and the soil happier. We also grow a small amount of cut flowers and have a commercial kitchen on-site, but crew members typically work only occasionally on those enterprises.
We’re growing, and we’d love it if you could come grow with us! Below are the positions we’re looking to fill in 2026:

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
We encourage people of all interests and backgrounds to apply. Experience farming, gardening, or landscaping is a plus, but anyone passionate about sustainably grown vegetables with a strong work ethic is invited to apply!
-
Interest in farming with us for more than one season is also a plus, but not a requirement.
-
Occasionally, you may be required to lift bins weighing 30-40 pounds. Ideally you’ll be able to do this, but it isn’t a deal-breaker.
-
We expect crew members to be able to work a 6 or 7-hour shift in all weather conditions - heat, rain, cold, you name it!

BENEFITS:
Vacation: We are flexible about taking unpaid time off (within reason and with advanced notice). We coordinate schedules amongst the farm crew to ideally have no more than one person on vacation at a time.
Learning opportunities and community gatherings: Pending crew interest, we hold bi-monthly potluck gatherings to connect, share food and discuss a farm topic of our crew’s choosing, with knowledge sharing amongst us and/or other nearby farmers.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
-
A fun, friendly environment to work and learn in. We strive to make this farm a place where people can be themselves and work together in pursuit of growing great vegetables for our community!
-
Experience in all aspects of diversified vegetable production: harvesting, washing, packing, weeding, seeding, planting, trellising and more
-
A mix of team-based and individual tasks, offering social work settings as well as time to listen to music or catch up on your favorite podcasts while you work
-
Work in all weather conditions, including standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, and occasionally lifting
-
Delicious fresh vegetables to eat, cook with and preserve, all season long
-
Hard but rewarding work with a crew of fun and interesting people!
WHAT WE EXPECT:
-
Commitment. Our small farm depends on reliable labor. We understand that life is unpredictable, but we expect that crew members who sign on for a season stay for that entire season. And we look for crew members who are invested in the farm’s success and willing to work efficiently to get things done.
-
Learning in a dynamic and varied environment. We grow a wide variety of crops in changing weather conditions, so tasks change throughout the course of the season. We are always looking for ways to improve our work and our produce, so we expect people to come ready to learn new things and share their ideas as well.
-
Enthusiasm for the work! We are happy to share any and all knowledge and resources at our disposal to help people learn about cultivating, eating, and enjoying the vegetables we grow. We believe this farm is a one-of-a-kind place to learn about small-scale intensive vegetable production, and a great place to work with your hands in the soil.

HOW TO APPLY:
Please submit an application via google form here. You’ll be asked to share any relevant past experience, your interest in vegetable farming and our farm, and your longer-term goals related to farming.
