Our Winter "salad" share runs from the beginning of December to early March, with pickups roughly every other weekPlease see pickup dates listed above for 'A Shares' and 'B Shares.'

This winter share will typically include two bagged greens and two microgreens, ensuring that share members are guaranteed access to our salad staples throughout the winter. Storage crops and additional veggies will be available for a la carte purchase in the farm stand.

During the winter, we grow fresh greens in our greenhouses, minimally heated tunnel, and unheated tunnels. We think our winter greens are some of the best of the year - the mechanisms plants use to stay alive in colder conditions are the same ones that make them delicious and sweet. It's an incredible thing to eat delicious spinach and salad mix grown right here, even when it's 0 degrees outside!

  • Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between share members and a farmer in order to produce a high quality product to share with a community of people who care about food and how it is produced. It is a great way for families to enjoy seasonal food from local farms, live a more sustainable life, and learn about the natural systems around them.

A CSA share is exactly what it means: a member shares in the bounty of harvest, community on the farm, and some of the risk a farmer takes in their dependence on weather and natural pest managements. By buying a share before the harvest season begins, a member is helping the farmer to buy seed and supplies. In return, the member receives a consistent supply of fresh, local produce throughout the season.
