Come Work On Our Farm!

Are you looking for work that is meaningful, physical and is outside?

10th Street Farm & Market is a four-season vegetable micro farm operating year around in Afton, MN.  Our markets are serving our local community through CSA, wholesale, and on farm stand.

Much of what we do is small scale farming by hand, in all types of weather.  Our farm is dynamic, diverse, and ever-evolving.  This year we are adding a commercial kitchen, along with off season tulips and summer flowers.

We have several positions open for the coming season, part-time crew members from April – November, part time crew members June – August, and a Transplant manager.  We are also interested in retaining longer term committed crew members.

Things to Expect:

  • Working in all weather conditions

  • Standing, bending, squatting, lifting for hours at a time

  • Harvesting, washing, weeding, seeding, trellising, packing, sorting, cleaning, organizing and more!

  • Taking verbal and visual instructions

  • Learning on the job and applying what you learned, you will learn all aspects of running a four-season micro farm.

  • Hard but, rewarding work. Farming can be really hard physically and emotionally, but at the same time it’s some of the most gratifying.

  • Multitasking and Adapting

Things We Expect

  •  Commitment. We understand life is unpredictable and for those who have never farmed before, it's hard to really imagine what to expect, but our small farm will depend on you. If a crew member chooses to leave mid-season, we will be left to scramble.

  • Motivation.  We all need to keep up our pace, efficiency, and motivation throughout the day to get everything done that needs to get done. Having a "what's next?" attitude to keep the day rolling is essential.

  • Willing to learn.  Learning in an ever-changing environment is what keeps the farm moving forward.
